Sorry, not enough information on the ISP or the type of modem they supplied. However, many people have this need and many cable ISPs can solve their connectivity problems. Just call your ISP and ask their support group to solve your problem – you may find that you have every thing you need to do what you want, but just don’t know how to turn the features on.
