  1. Yes.

I’d get a router and share the DSL connection though cuz it’s faster.

  2. Yes, when using dial-up it’s no different than when using your phone in a traditional manner, i.e. when talking to someone. DSL uses a different portion of the line.

  3. there is no reason you shouldnt be able to. plug the dial up computer through a regular dsl filter like you’d use for a phone…

but really youd be better off using a router to get both comps on highspeed.. not sure if the mac + pc combo will matter to a router

  4. You will need filter’s for the line, for the dial-up, so it does not interfere with the DSL.. The same principal when you have dial up and you want to talk on the phone at the same time, the Filters, stream the line so you can perform two separate functions at once. good luck

  5. Absolutely – just make sure that the dial-up one has a DSL filter on the line – otherwise, your connection will drop randomly.

  6. Theoretically YES, but I advise NO.
I have seen this done with 2 PC connections 1 dial-up the other a Qwest DSL connection, for the most part they worked OK, but, they conflicted in several email programs, as well as dial-up always seemed to give an error or have a rough time connecting,…..it was basically a mess. Now your asking to what I have experienced with a PC and a MAC….. “good luck!” Why? why not save time and frustration by sharing your DSL connection with a $60 Router…. its really easy!

    I hope this helps….

  8. You can, but there is little point. If you get a router you can use both on dsl.
