   With either DSL or Cable you’d have to have a special modem for the link to the ISP servers. You can get the modems at any electronics store. I find Linksys Modems work the best.

   You’ll need a router for DSL, which the company will probably provide.

   Yes – your new DSL or cable provider should set you up with the appropriate DSL- or cable-modem. For DSL, you may also need line filters.

   Get a router if you want to share the connection. Good luck!

   Your ISP will provide a cable or DSL modem for your connection. If you do not have a network card, you will need one so go to computer or electronic store and buy one. They are pretty inexpensive. You will ONLY need a router if you want to network several computers and allow them to go online at the same time. But if not, a ROUTER is not needed although it would be a good tool to have for a more secure networking environment.

   Depending on where you live you may be able to sign up for AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet for only $12.99 a month!
   or Verzion DSL witch is $14.99 a month

   You will need a DSL box for it to work, it is fairly easy to use.
   If you have more than one computer, you will need a Router

   Don’t get Comcast High Speed Internet, if available, to expensive
