Does D-link DI-524 work with verizon dsl?

I bought the di-524. I currently have netzero hispeed 3g (dialup). I will switch to Verizon DSL, the 14.99 one, in November 2006. I was wondering if the di-524 would work with DSL and how would I have to do it. I own a laptop and a desktop.

yes, it will work. All you will need to do is configure the router for PPOe, which is DSL and enter your verizon user name and password.

  2. Pretty much any wireless router will work with any broadband connection that uses an external modem. When you get your modem up and running, just follow the directions that came with the router- setup is easy. Then, provided your laptop has an integrated wireless card, you should be able to detect your signal almost immediately. If you don’t already have a wireless card in your laptop (almost all newer ones do), you can find one, inexpensively, at http://www.tigerdirect.com.

With your setup, just run the DSL modem directly to your desktop, and allow your laptop to find the signal. Then you can play around with the router settings (proper Channel and B/G/mixed signal) to optimize your signal strength.
