How do I get my dialup to remember my username and password?

The remember my address and password is greyed out and I cannot put a checkmark in the box.
The check box is greyed out. I cannot put an X in it to remember my ID and Password. How do I get it to accept the checkmark?

  on the form where you type in your username and password there should be a checkbox to click to save your password
