How to connect my home phone line(RJ11) to my ethernet?

I have Lenove 776124Q Model Laptop. I have installed Fedora 6 on my laptop. My location supports only dialup to connect to the internet. I have Agere Systems HDA Internal Modem on my laptop. There are no drivers for that modem. Is there any way to work with my ethernet?(i.e if i connect my RJ11(phone jack) to my Laptops ethernet) will this work or not. If yes tell me how to do

Regards & Thanks

  2. Not only are the connectors different but the voltages involved are very different and you will damage your computer.
To use the Ethernet connector you have to have ADSL and a router.
