My system will not connect above 30KBS when it used to connect at closer to my modem speed of 56K. I have done nothing to the system to alter any settings! I have checked my connections and everything is as it should be, but I need help! Does anybody know what is going on…or of a faster way to connect to my dialup? A program for instance?
I don’t think there are any programs for that? Have you cleaned your files and cookies of late? Or defragged your computer all may help, but only a may, it could just be the system you are using, if there is another access number for your area try that one….Good Luck

There may be something else (a cordless phone, FAX, another computer…) plugged into a phone jack somewhere in your house that’s cutting down your connection rate.
If you are sure there’s nothing else connected, that the modem is the only thing on that phone line, then this isn’t the problem.
