Loading ...I have dialup..when I plug the phoneline into the back of the pc..it disconnects the phone..?

When I unplug the phoneline, it connects. What causes this?

thats the way its suppose to work unless you have dsl

there is no way to stop it from doing that unless you have dsl

When you plug in the phoneline to your pc and go online, you are just making a different kind of phone call. It’s sort of like what a fax machine does. Technically, your phone is not disconnected, it is busy.
For a long time we dealt with this by having two phone lines coming into our house, but now you can often get DSL or Cable internet cheaper than a second phone line. (and it’s much faster!)
