When I start downloading a movie or anything for that matter it will start out from about 50-70 kpbs but within seconds it drops to about low 30′s. What is the problem? I go to open Ebay which should open in about 18 sec. it takes over 60 sec. What is the problem? I called tech support ran 3 different speed test and they are all over the scale. Tech support told me to disable my firewall and leave it off. This did not speed up anything. Should I leave my firewall disabled or am I asking for problems doing this? Am I the only one having this problem with wildblue?
U are going to get more slower if u have wireless internet with dial up cause dial up is already slow and if u put is in wireless it is going to get more slow cause u are going to be far away from it and the internet is alreay slow.. If u want wireless internet then u have to get DSL internet or the T1,T2 and T3 or if they have an if faster internet

The answer about the firewall makes it obvious that the tech support staff you talked to was clueless. You need to speak to someone that knows what they are doing. Contact the vendor that installed your dish and tell them you are not satisfied with the service. Your problem may be a poorly aligned dish or bad cable connections.
