Well… AOL is good for parental controls and cool features, while Yahoo is good for the Yahoo Answers, games, music, etc. Yahoo! (I think) is cheaper. Dial up is the same speed on every service no matter what. Stay with Yahoo.
It doesn’t matter what you have on dial-up. There are ISPs who claim they speed you up, but speed is limited by the phone line and distance to the nearest phone exchange. Example: I had a 112,400 bps modem and could only connect at 24,000. My son is 2 miles closer and connects at 38,000.
If there is cable hook up in your area, I would go that route, or maybe even satellite. If money is the deciding factor, dial-up is your only choice.
