  1. I’ve had a similar experience, but with a Palm T5 and Motorola v551. Cingular is my wireless carrier. The same exact thing happened to me, but then I found out that to dial up to the internet, you have to have a service activated called “Circuit Switched Dialing (CSD)” Basically your wireless carrier doesn’t recognize a dial-up connection without having CSD turned on. CSD costs about $4/month, so it’s much less expensive than any of the internet packages. You should be able to call and speak with a customer service representative and ask for CSD to be turned on. The rep probably won’t know what you’re talking about because CSD is not a commonly used feature. I got put on hold for a couple minutes, but the guy came back and turned it on for me. Just make sure they aren’t activating one of the expensive wireless internet packages… if it costs much more than $4/month it isn’t CSD. Anyway, once you’ve activated CSD you should be able to use your SLVR as a dial-up modem from your TX at a speed of around 9kb/sec. Doing this will use up your plan minutes, but other than that won’t cost you anything but the $4/month.

This also works if you have a laptop with bluetooth.

Good luck, and email me if you have questions about this.
