No mam, along both computers have a internet connection then youre good to go.

Yes it’s possible, no you don’t both need dialup.
The remote user (the other person with dialup) will need to find their external IP every time you need to connect. Have them go to http://whatsmyip.org/ and get their IP. If they disconnect, they will need to do that again before the remote desktop connection will work.
Obviously, this is all assuming that the remote user has remote assistance enabled and you understand how to connect.

Yes you can use Remote Desktop with dial-up. It doesn’t matter what the other end is using. What I would suggest doing before you connect to a dial-up machine is expand the “Options >>”, goto the Display tab and set the Color to 256 Colors. Anything above 256 color will be VERY slow.

You don’t need to have both of them on the same connection e.g. dialup as long as both are working on the Internet then you can access, but dialup would be slower for sure.
