Satellite Internet – Break a contract?

I have satellite Internet and with the exception of downloading files, which I don’t care about…it’s as slow, or slower than dialup. I’m locked into a year contract with the satellite company…probably because they know their service sucks. How do I get out of it…what are my options?

  1. You’ve got no options really. You break the contract, they’ll hit you with fees for breaking the contract. You signed the contract, so if you break it, you’ll be at fault. You either stick with them and pay them whatever exuberant fees they want a month, or you break the contract. Whatever’s cheaper in the end, do that.

  2. check the contract, there is probably a opt-out option that will probably cost money. Or you could try and fight with them by saying they didn’t provide what they told you they would.
