   Ah the joys of dial-up, know them all too well (still a user -.-).

   A couple of things will speed it up… one is once you’ve been on a website, it image stays in the cache, meaning it loads faster… another idea is using a different browser to I.E., I suggest Opera, purely because you can turn images off if you want a quick search for text, and no images.

   The 3rd, if you know how to, is to tune your modem to be faster, to do this to some mild extent, go to Control Panel > Phone and Modem Options. From there go to the Modems tab, and select the modem you use for the internet, click properties, and go to Modem tab. The 2nd box down should contain a drop down box, with the title Maximum Port Speed, try adjusting this, and note that the highest speed may not be the best, sometimes the modem can’t handle it and will get slower.

   There are other ways of speeding up the connection while staying on dialup, but they are rather complicated, but I guess you could do a Google search and possibly find something helpful if you really needed it?

   hi,uploading pictures using can really be a drag(literally)what you can do is reduce the size of the picture.when i say size i mean the resolution of the image.normally picture taken from a point and shoot or even a DSLR would entail a big file but if you are using cellphone cameras the file size is smaller.ideally you have got to have a resolution of 640×480 or smaller to be able to upload it to the net faster.you can use adobe photoshop or other picture editing software to resize the photo.

   another way to improve upload time is to subscribe to a faster internet connection like a broadband or dsl service.
