One Response to What happens to the mail in my combined ATT/Yahoo mail box after I switch from ATT to a dialup ISP?

  1. After canceling your DSL service, you will receive complimentary Dial-up service from AT&T Yahoo! for 90 days, which includes full access to your SBC Yahoo! account. If you attempt to log in to the SBC Yahoo! homepage (sbc.yahoo.com) using your Yahoo! ID and password after 90 days, you will be given the option to unmerge your Yahoo! ID. If after 91 days you have not unmerged your Yahoo! ID, it will automatically be unmerged.

Once your SBC Yahoo! ID has been suspended / terminated, mail will no longer be forwarded from the sbcglobal.net address to the Yahoo! ID. Thus, you get to use your Yahoo! ID like you did before you had it combined with your AT&T Yahoo! ID.Problem solved.

In short, wait for 91 days fron the start of your service disconnection with ATT. =)

I’m a tech support rep for ATT Yahoo! =)
