i just switched from Gay ol (aol) to Net Zero Dialup.(yeah i know i am in the stone age but its all my computer can take without upgrading) anyway with AOL i could be logged on for 24 hours straight and not get Booted. But Net zero Like clockwork ALWAYS boots me after 3 hours even if i am actively using internet explorer

Probably because the IP Address they assign you is on a 3hr lease or something.

Yeh, that happens every four hours with people pc too, thats why i said screw the dial up. theres not much you can do, thats what happens with the cheaper dial ups. Best suggestion would be to complain to the company.

Be sure you have paid for unlimited internet access. If you have, then contact them and tell them your problem. If you keep having the problem, switch to another provider next month.
