  2. This usually means the computer is not detecting a modem card. Make sure there is one installed and if it is, make sure that it is enabled. You might have to re-install the drivers for the modem.

  3. Go to Start/Run. type in regedit

    Browse to the following folder:
    HKEY_Local_Machine/System/ CurrentControlSet/Services/ Rasman/PPP/EAP/ Then delete the folders 25 and 26, LEAVING 4 and 13 intact.

    Restart the computer.
