anyone else freezing while writing an email? geez I like the new looks and features, but the page starts “Loading” while I’m writing and then won’t do anything for 10-30 seconds. if that keeps up I’ll be switching back to the old setup.
please don’t tell me it’s my slow connection speed either; I have a 1.5Mb connection….but shoot I’d hate to see what people have to deal with on dialup.
I had that problem yesterday. Go here and make a feedback telling them your problem. Mine was fixed and working great in less the 5 mins.

It runs too much at once. Old email is still better.

I hope you are aware that Yahoo Mail Beta IS a beta program, and know what a beta program is. Contrary to popular belief, Yahoo Mail Beta is not the new name for Yahoo Mail. It’s a TEST PROGRAM that was released to the public in order for the developers to gain input from so they can work on solutions to make it work.
If you opted to use Yahoo Mail Beta because someone told you that “a new version of Yahoo Mail has been released,” nothing could be farther from the truth. It is NOT a “new version of Yahoo Mail.” It is a BETA TEST PROGRAM.
If you want to have a hand in helping with the development of this product, I’m afraid you’ll have to deal with the bugs and other issues that arise, and report them to the developers. Most likely there will be no “quick fixes.” You’ll have to wait for the developers to come up with solutions along with the rest of us.
Participating in a beta program involves little a little work. When you experience a problem, there are forums you can read to find out if the problem has been reported, or report it. You can find out what has been fixed, and what problems are currently being worked on.
You can report your feedback to: http://feedback.mail.yahoo.com/betafeedback_mailbeta
The new Yahoo Mail will be available for final release around the first of the year. It’s going to be great when it’s finished, but until then, it’s still in the developmental stages, and you will encounter problems, so you’ll have to be patient with it.
If you should decide that you would rather not participate in this BETA PROGRAM, you can click the SWITCH BACK link at the top of your mail page, and your standard Yahoo Mail program will be restored.
I hope this helped. Good luck

I have no idea why you are having freezing problems. I can only say that I AGREE. The Beta is horrendously sloooow. It took nearly five minutes on initial log in and about two minutes to go from page to page. On top of that I cannot open any incoming mail. The box just sits there glaring back at me. Looks like this one was designed purely and simply for high bandwidth barons, not for us poor peasants on dial up. I’ll just have to give it away and go back to the previous version
