I set boot from cd, when pc restarted it said, press any key to boot from cd, and it’s like counting down like…., and I’m pressing to beat all hell, and it just boots like reg.
The cd is a lil scratched, but I tryed a new one, and it did the same.
What I’m trying to do is wipe everything off C drive, and start fresh.
I even went and bought a cleaning or wiping program, instructions and all, but I just can’t understand it. When I tryed to do what it said, I ran it, and after 6hrs, it said it was only 2% complete. I’d really like to be able to use my pc this month.
The way it is right now, even with DSL it’s like my old dialup. I’ve been trying to fix this for more than a week now.
I can’t afford to take it out to be fixed. Thanks for not making fun of me, yaw.

No it’s not just a slow internet connect, I’ve got multuble programs on C: disk, like 50 thousand file, and they seem to be trying to run at the same time.
I just want to be able to reinstall my xp again, and just have that, nothing else.
Ok, here’s just one more lil thing, first I can’t boot from CD, and also the cd I was trying to boot say’s “operating system cd, microsoft xp home sp2, for reinstallation and repair only. Doe’s that mean anything?
Oh, I’m about ready smash this thing, I don’t know if I’m madder at it, or myself, for just not being able to understand computers. After tearing them up fo , 8yrs straight now.
Yes, I did boot in safe mode, but I’ve did that, and when reinstalled, it just added another to my collection, I,ve got like 6 on here.
