The Super Link is an autodialer that was offered by a telco in the UK but which I don’t know. It is supposed to be fully progammable so it should be possible to set it up to dial prefix numbers automatically but how?
P.S. needless to say, I tried tracking down the manufacturer in Korea but it would seem they are no longer in business (their website address no longer exists).
My computer is hooked up for DSL service only. I need a new DSL modem box from SBC but Im afraid it will cost too much as my one year warrenty is over. The box switch I believe is broken and sometimes it takes me almost an hour to get the box to go on pushing the little power button in the back of the box because when I take my finger off the button it goes off. So….anyways, rather than pay most likely about 70 bucks for a new modem box I was thinking of switching to people pc but Im not sure if they have dsl service or is it only dial up? Also would like to know if anyone has this service and how they liked it. Or….do you know how I can maybe fix my modem box or get a new one for 20 or less dollors. At radio shack (found it online) they asked close to 70 dollors!! That is outrageous for such a cheap little plastic box. Help please

1. go to device manager. 2. find modems click ti. 3. right click the modem name under it and go to properties. 4. go to the advaced tag. 5. and in the box type ” AT&FX ” must me CAPITLIZED.
I have tried three different times on different days to download Yahoo IM, and I get a box saying that the dl has been inturupted. Then gives the option to abort, or retry. Usually happens by 4-7% of the install. Hitting retry just makes the load bar read 100% and then sits there for a few and gives the same message box of interupt. So, then I abort the install, which leaves me sad. Is it because of slow dialup, and if so, is there a way to acomplish what I am trying to do?….Anyone????
After the incoming 110 volt supply goes into the power supply, what happens? what are the output voltages? Can I run a box on 12volts? It has to run on battery power as there is no 110 in our cabin when we are not there. I figure I could call it up on dialup from home, “wake” the box, and control it from home to look thru the 4 webcams that would be attached to it. Thats all I need it for. The batts would recharge when we go there and turn on the 110 power. Possible? I would be using windows or linux on the box (If I can figure out Linux). An inverter is out of the question, because it would be “on” all the time and wear the batt down before I get there. No monitor or keyboard on the box, unless I take it there for programming.
Will somebody explain what UPS is for…Oh, wait, Uninteruptible power supply…LOL, TWO T-105 6V (in series) (Golf cart) batteries. Very deep cycle. Where do I wire it into the box?
