Verizon DSL or just DSL problem in general ?

I had Verizon DSL for 11 months and very UNHAPPY with it. My browser would not connect to the internet at least twice to 4 times a day, I would have to turn the Verizon provided wireless router off and turn it back on for it to work. I asked Verizon for a different wireless router and the same thing still happens. So now it is a rountine for me to turn the wireless router off and back on few times a day. I called Verizon technician and they told me it is normal. Is this Normal?? ? Is this what people with DSL have to go through every day or just Verizon DSL service ?
My 1 year contract is up with them next month so I think I’m going to swith to Time Warner high speed internet. I will probably go with the cheapest package which is Road Runner Standard 4M x 512K* or 6M x 384K* which I dont even know which one to pick or if it is fast compare to Verizon 765k package I have. I’m just so tired of running down stairs to turn the wireless router off/on. Thanks for any advice !

Why has my Microsoft Internet Explorer (browser) suddenly slowed to a crawl despite virus and ad removers?

I use NOD32 for virus protection — it runs constantly — and a commercial version of Adware to kill popups and to stop tracking of cookies. I show no suspicious activity out of the ordinary range. I have a powerful computer.
Does my slowdown lie with Microsoft software and its browser [Internet Explorer], or should I simply reintall the Internet Explorer? I tried using a different web browser (Mozilla) but had other weird problems with that.
My ISP recently switched to me to AT&T-Yahoo, against my wishes, while I was abroad.
Could that have slowed me down?
Should I get a different provider?
I am at a level of dial-up modem speed despite paying for broadband service!
Thanks for any help you might give.
I am tired of paying a consultant for every bit of advice.

Background Pictures do not show up on Yahoo Browser or Internet Explorer 6.0 Can you help?

Is this a setting problem? I am running Windows XP with service pack. The pages load okay, but I do not get any background images. I have a dial-up ISP and everything shows up fine on that ISP.

Why can I not get AT&T Yahoo dsl to show up the background images? Their self support help said it is my computer. If so, why do the images show up on the dial-up?

Please help as to what could be the problem and how I can fix it.

Thanks!

Sega Saturn NetLink – Planetweb Browser 1.0 – Setup Screens and Manual (No modem, SSF)

Recorded in the Sega Saturn emulator ssf 0.12 beta. This was the original browser CD that came packed with the 28.8 Sega Saturn NetLink modem which allowed internet access through your home television. It came out just before Sony’s WebTV and was a very cheap way for users to get on the internet. Since the NetLink hardware is not yet emulated, you cannot get the five NetLink-enabled games working in the emulator: Sega Rally NetLink Edition, Virtual On NetLink Edition, Daytona USA CCE NetLink Edition, Duke Nukem 3D, and Saturn Bomberman. This video shows the basic functions of the original Planetweb 1.0 browser. All bookmarks, email addresses, settings, and all pertinent ISP information was saved on the Saturn’s internal memory. After downloading a browser upgrade, the Saturn would reset and the update would be stored temporarily in the system’s RAM, so should you turn off your console, you would have to redownload the update to use the new features. Planetweb never pressed a 2.0 browser disc, so 1.011 and 3.0 are the only physical browsers for the Sega Saturn NetLink.
