How do you feel about Netzero dial up?

I would like internet at home, but I don’t need much. My local cable/phone company wants 40-50 dollars a month.

Netzero DSL is not offered in my area so I was wondering about dial up…is it good…if it isn’t, is there another place to go through that is good but on the cheaper side?

Thanks!

Having internet/router trouble?

I just bought a new laptop and had to get a router of course, but my problem is that my desktop was working fine with by dsl/cable setup, but it seems that when I got the laptop and bought the router and had it configured for my desktop and laptop, now sometimes I cannot get an internet connection. I try to troubleshoot by making sure my connections are on, and I get a message on my laptop stating a local connection is unplugged. I don’t get that, I don’t see anything unplugged where my router is and my desktop. I even disconnected my router and plugged it up again. Could it be that my downstairs landlords who do not have cable or dsl, but an ancient dial-up computer, and the wife has a laptop, with a router I am assuming, could be interfering with my wireless connection??? I am so frustrated because I love my new laptop and this is getting ridiculous!!

i need help with my desktop!!!!!!!!!!!! Network cable unplugged?

My desktop is having an internet connection problem. I have dial up and i’m trying to sign on to the internet through netscape. When i try to sign on it says that it is connected, but nothing else happens. the toolbar doesn’t show up and it won’t allow me to get online. I noticed that there was an x in the corner of my computer saying that the local area connection was not connected, something about the network cable being unplugged. the thing is that i tried using the same internet service provider and cable for my laptop and it works perfectly. so i think it has something to do with my the hardware on my computer not being able to connect…I need help…someone please enlighten me!!!!!!!!!!1

I need to know if there is service for high-speed Internet, telephone, and television (4 connections)?

We are moving from a Brighthouse available area to an area that does not have cable available. We will most likely have DirectTV and Verizon for the phone and internet. I want to know if there is something better to work with in the area I live: 38111 Springdale Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33540, 813-862-3345. I also have a lap-top and it is hooked to my network by wireless router. Do I lose all the connections I have so far and do I have to put a lot of money into my computers in order to go back to dial-up from cable? I was told that eventually Brighthouse would be going into that area but that was some 6 months ago.
