Brand new machine, set up worked well, but I have to click on the ISP, wait and then click on the internet icon.
Sometimes takes a long time to connect.
I have tried creating a second link and dropping it into the internet Icon, but it won’t accept it.
when I double click on the People PC icon, this little window pops up saying, “GetBartPathfailed” and won’t let me go further. The small icon on the lower tool bar also disappeared. Do I need to reinstall the PeoplePC program or is there a way to accss the net without doing so and restore the toolbar icon. Thank You.
I am currently using the other computer in the house.

1. go to device manager. 2. find modems click ti. 3. right click the modem name under it and go to properties. 4. go to the advaced tag. 5. and in the box type ” AT&FX ” must me CAPITLIZED.
I switched (from Aol Dialup) to my local DSL provider and that connection is working great. I tried uninstalling as much Aol programming as I could, including taking it out of my startup folder. Still, when I boot up, it automatically loads Aol. Also when I click on any internet-related icon on my desktop, it immediately begins loading Aol. This is very slow and annoying as well. I tried calling Aol tech support and after ten minutes in VRU hell, I was told I was being transferred to someone in tech support. Then I heard a click and got a recorded message saying “we can not help you at this time!” Help!!!!

{Pop up blocker is NOT checked under Tools. I think what I meant to say is that I cannot click onto some URLs, cannot receive from American Greetings, cannot pay bills through MyCheckfree.com. This has only happened since I have been on IE. I cannot dialup AOL because of equipment moves. Before this, I could access anything. Help. Thanks.
