hi..i’m using a dialup modem 56k..lately, my connection drops half the speed as it used to..is it because of my internet provider or..is it possible that my modem is faulty? i’m positive that i don’t have spyware or any kind..tnx!

im using WIN ME,have dsl.when i had dialup,an icon appeared on my taskbar that when connected would allow me to know my connection speed.how can i do this with dialup?

we’re a four – roomate, four computer household and our computers are connected to a D-Link DI-604 4 port Router on a comcast broadand connection. we’re all experience slow connection problems – webpages are loading slowly, sometimes at less than a dialup rate. we’ve screened our computers regularly for viruses and trojans and there are none. disconnecting *any* two computers from the router restores the speed (it doesnt matter which two computers are discoonected from the router) does this indicate a specific problem that we can solve, or do we need to get some type of higher performance router? (if such a thing exists).

yahoo IM keeps dropping me after five minutes or so. I am running windows xp on mozilla firefox. My dialup connection reports 46.4 bps for connection speed. all popup blockers are turned off, there are no proxies to contend with. a microsoft firewall is the only thing connected. java is enables and security is to accept all cookies.

I discontinued IM with Voice because it made my pc Hangup or freeze up! I only have a Pentium II processor(267Mhz), 128mb memory laptop and my dialup connection speed is only 31.2kbps.
