I have had dsl previously on my computer. I have deleted everything pertaining to dsl. Now I would like to use a dial up connection, but it is grayed out. What should I do?

My Windows XP Professional with internet dial-up connection has problem that I cannot establish a dial-up, it says that there is no dial tone, I checked the modem but it is working fine and the phone line is also working. It says there that you have very long dialup numbers, and I checked it, its not. What now??
I cannot establish a dialup connection. It says there that I have very long dialup numbers, e.g. 9,3304503, and I it says there that I have no dial tone. The modem is fine, the phone line is working and cables are all ok…
I’ve already deleted the modem and reinstall a new driver..cant still fix the problem..can i configure ini file of the modem..what files are associated with the modem and dial up connection???

hi, i have 2 pc’s on LAN, i am having a dialup connection in pc1& i want to access internet from this to other pc, can u plz tell me what are the things to be configure to access internet through dial up? plz give all the necessary steps

I would like to use the bandwidth of my dialup as well as my ADSL connection simultaneousyl. Is there any way of tying together data streams from these two different services (and therefore to my two different IP addresses?). I would be happy if a load-sharing kind of arrangement is possible somehow Thanks in advance!
Any ideas how I can use Multilink PPP to tie together the two connections? If done at the OS level, the data streams should be transparent – or would a load-sharing setup be better? I just want to be able to use both bandwidths – I pay flat rate for both, but can presently use only one at any given time?

How can you setup a dial up connection through a dial up modem through a phone line cable straight to another dial up modem on another computer?

basically the same as you would with a crossover ethernet cable
