Here is a nifty device that I had for about 6 years, it’s know as an acoustic coupler which allows you to connect to the net anywhere even from a payphone if you don’t have broadband access (though in practice you should only have about 500 bytes – 1 kb or so downstream and about 12-19 K upstream max. so while not ideal for browsing it’s handy for email checking (just make sure you have a 800 access no. for your dialup internet) Rate, Comment, Befriend or Subscribe ~ Thanks!
Can I connect to a dialup internet com. using my Razr and laptop? My plan is voice, not data plan???
My plan is voice, not data. Wanted to know if I could use my laptop and Razr cell to connect to a dial up internet company with only a voice plan. I don’t want to pay for a data plan. If it’s possible I realize the speed would be slow, also would my carrier know I’m using it to connect to dial-up internet?
