Im going to get 8MB broadband soon and have been looking for wireless routers & broadband in-line filters and ive came across DSL & ADSL but dont know what im getting or whats the difference.

is it possible to ever increase the speed of dialup connection ?
is it possible to ever increase the speed of modem in dialup connection. normal dialup lines have copper cable, the cables used in LAN i suppose also have similar metal, then y this difference? dialup connection is max of 40kbps and LAN cable is in mbps?

What’s the difference between a laptop computer and a desktop?
I know that you can just fold a laptop and take it anywhere but why are they so much more expensive? Can you hook speakers and a printer up to a laptop like you can a desktop? nd i was just wandering if you have dialup how can you get online on a laptop if you go somewhere? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.
