What can I learn about getting the highest dial-up modem speed?
What can I learn about getting highest connect speed with a dialup modem? I now have a pctel v90 56kps, but my actual speeds are from 26- 36kps.Also I’m looking into the possibility of finding a driver that will make it compatible with suse linux 9.2, Any Help?

PC hangs upon internet connection.?
Almost everytime I connect to the internet, my PC just hangs up, and stays that way for 10-15 minutes. I know that the modem or modem driver isnt a problem because I had it both in dialup before and in broadband now.
Please Help!
i have formatted my hard drive and reinstalled windows xp 3 times.
i also have bought n installed norton with which i have scanned my entire pc.
so guys… please do better.
and i use a usb dialup modem for my broadband not a wireless or lan adapter
