I live in a rural area and cannot get DSL or cable internet. My modem has gone out on my computer and I want to go ahead and add something faster than dial up. I have AT&T cell phone service so I am thinking about going with them…..

I am looking for something that runs under $25/month and with a low installation fee (under $75). Is this possible? I really don’t know what I’m doing here. I just bought a laptop and I don’t have a landline or cable t.v., so I have no preference between DSL or cable connections.
I’m in Chicago, IL.
Have a question about multilinking modems. My ISP can’t seem to figure out how to set up multilink access at their end for me to use. I can’t get DSL or cable…so I need some more speed.
Is it possible to use two different ISPs with an account at each? In the dialup properties, there is a place to allow a different phone number to be dialed per each modem, but I don’t see a place to enter separate login/pass for each modem.
Any ideas to get around this? Thanks.
BTW, I have Windows XP…two modems…two phone lines…etc.
If not…does anyone know an ISP that allows multilinking and knows how to do it?
