Modem multilinking?

Have a question about multilinking modems. My ISP can’t seem to figure out how to set up multilink access at their end for me to use. I can’t get DSL or cable…so I need some more speed.

Is it possible to use two different ISPs with an account at each? In the dialup properties, there is a place to allow a different phone number to be dialed per each modem, but I don’t see a place to enter separate login/pass for each modem.

Any ideas to get around this? Thanks.
BTW, I have Windows XP…two modems…two phone lines…etc.
If not…does anyone know an ISP that allows multilinking and knows how to do it?

watching streaming video on dialup?

i’m on my mother’s dell. it has windows xp and watching sreaming videos palys then buffers play then buffers until it reaches the end of the video. i was always told there was no way to watch video on dial up like you can on dsl without the buffering.

do any of you know a way around this? would resetting the video accelerator stop that?
oh yes this is a desktop

When using itunes, whats the average file size for a movie or tv show?

I have a dialup internet connection and I was wondering if downloading movies and tv shows would take hours on end.

Problem getting through to Verizon for DSL?

I signed up a year ago to be notified via e-mail whenever Verizon got around to bringin DSL to my neighborhood. The end of the network is only half a mile away.

My problem is that I can’t get through to a human being by phone to find out WHEN this might be happening.

Our cable provider really sucks and is too expensive. But dialup is ridiculously slow.

Does anyone have a phone number to reach someone in DSL at Verizon–other than the 800 number(s) in the DSL ads? I’ve tried those and every time, the recorded message says to call back because they’re too busy. There’s no option to wait for an agent.

Thanks for any advice or info someone might have.

system requirements for yahoo messenger?

We are trying to make messenger8 work with winXP/broadband at one end and a win98 pentiumP2/Dialup 56kmodem at the other.we are running internet explorer 6. All seems to be installed but messages are not recieved at the low tech end – I can see that a message is being typed to me but I never get it.
Anyone else out there got a similar lowtech system working with messenger or are we just trying to do too much with old systems.
Any suggestions for tweaks? – thanks
