Computer problems!!! HELP!!?

Yesturday morning, out of nowhere, my computer starting acting strange. First, when it booted up it said that it was having difficulties finding the server. Then once it started working it was slower than dial up (I have DSL). I then deleted all my cookies, emptied my recycling bin, defragmented, deleted programs and games I don’t use, ran ad-aware, spybot, antivir, CCleaner, and AVG in hopes that one of those things would fix the problem…. but it still is slow! I have no idea why it would keep doing this. When I go to Windows task manager, as soon as I open it up it spikes to 100% CPU usage, and suddenly drops to 15 and goes up to maybe 60 at most again. What could be going on? Could it be a nasty trojan or something? Could it just be the internet provider? Anyone have any ideas?

Please someone help me… Question about internet service?

okay, I need some help with internet service. I just bought a laptop and have dial up service. It’s WAY too slow. It won’t bring up YouTube or Myspace… anything fun. The only cable company around here is one I do not wish to use. Is there any other way to get high speed internet service another way? I’m new to all of this stuff. Any idea’s will be helpful!!! Thanks.

Windows XP Internet help?

Hey, I am running Windows XP Professional on boot camp on my 2010 Macbook. I am having trouble with the internet thou. I have the latest service pack (3). No wifi icon shows up when I look for it and I have searched for it for a long time. When I look in my network places only dial-up and private-virtual web show up. I tried to plug in an ethernet cord but nothing shows up when I plug it in and I still do not have internet access. It isn’t the ethernet cord because i have tested it on another computer.

Any help? Im thinking of bringing it in to Best Buy/Fry’s but don’t want to drop the cash if I don’t need too.
I don’t know how to install or add more things because I can not connect to the internet.

online gaming help. getting conected.?

i live in the middle of no where and there is absolutely NO chance of getting high speed internet except satellite and wireless broadband through a service like verizon wireless. i have dial up and satelitte now. please help me i want to online game so bad :( someone please save me haha

how reliable are wireless internet services? Does it drop as much as cell phone calls?

I signed up for a wireless internet service and it drops every 5 minutes or so and stays down at least a minute. I dont think this is normal. The ISP is no help at all. They dont seem too concerned about it.
