Is there such a thing as as-needed DSL?

My sister visits my parents every couple months and wants Internet access at the house, but it has to be high-speed (at least basic DSL). Is there a really cheap decent quality DSL ISP, or an as-needed DSL-type account? (sort of like dial-up, so you get say twenty hours of DSL for ten bucks a month?) I thought NetZero had the answer with their 12.95/month 768k/DSL, but the price goes up to 22.95 after three months. Thanks

Qwest high speed compared too comcast.

I have comcast internet service right now. It really is starting to suck. I don’t know if it is my computer or the internet but I swear it moves like a computer. I got high speed for exactly that HIGH SPEED! I feel like I might as well go get dial up.
Is qwest high speed just as good? I know it is cheaper so I was thinking of switching over so that I can save on money too. I figure can’t get worse than this. Anyone have the experience with both let me know????!!!
woops I meant to say…..It moves like a turtle!

What is the Best ISP?

Sup, i was just wondering what the best isp (internet service provider) was. I’m looking for Wifi and high speed. I occasionally use xbox live, and i download large files, like torrents. I dont really use my desktop because i have a laptop. I live in a 3-story house, i would like for the wifi to be available anywhere in my house. Finally I would like to know what is better dial-up satellite or cable, Thanks

What is the cheapest I speed internet service??

I am thinking about going with Net Zero. I have AOL dial-up right now and I really want to get high speed before I start college. I pay 17.95 a month now and with Net Zero I can get 14.99 a month. I don’t know anything about Net Zero my brother in-law told me about. So, if you know anything thats better or know anything about Net Zero please tell me! thank you!
