Setup a FTP server for personal use?
Hi, I want to know how to setup a Personal FTP Server at my home so that i can access my files on my computer by logging in from a remote location through a FTP program. I am having a DialUp Connection…. The IP address keeps on changing is there a way to uknow to have a Free DNS for my changing IP? i.e. whenever my IP changes the DNS should get notified Automatically.. and i should be able to log into my account without any problem….

There’s this girl who keeps on “spamming” and saying not-so-nice things on my blog. How can I stop her?
So I got her IP address from a tagboard where she spammed and said bad things about me(I tried to ban her, but her IP keeps changing due to dialup), this has been going on for a while, is there any way that I can like stop her? Can I report her to cybercrime department or something? I heard that unless blogger (the host of my blog) files official charges…I can do nothing since it doesn’t really belong to me.
I’ve been ignoring her for months..she’s just way off! and the things she says are disturbing..and i’ve tried the approving thing..she just goes to my guestbook and later comment box..shes crazy but i dont wanna have to approve soo many post because of her..what else can i do?

Why is my dls bellsouth slow on my laptop and not on base tower?
I have added the bellsouth accelerator among other software and still my dsl bellsouth is almost as slow as dialup. I get warrining that my ip address is in conflict but suposedly bellsouth teck support walked me through that. Still very slow. I am on wireless and my tower unit operates at 58BPS but my laptop only shows 9BPS. I assume if I could get both BPS at 58 then speed would be the same. Both laptop and tower started at same speed and for unknown reasons the lap top slowed down. Start up is almost the same but to download and delete emails takes forever. Also my lap top shows that the bellsouth accelereator is working when with dsl it is not suppose to work. At times deleting emails it appearse to almost lock up. To go get cup of coffee and on return it will finally move to next email. I have performed all normal maintanance with no improvement. Thanks in advance for your help. gene
