Any good reliable and cheap ISPs in Northern Maine?

Am looking for cable or wireless, since I more than likely won’t have a landline telephone, and hate dialup in any case … have googled around for providers, but can’t make head or tail of what they’re offering, am afraid I’m not very clever about these things … does anyone have any recommendations?

Is Error 605 really my problem or my ISPs?

Here is the message:
ERROR 605
“Server typesetting in properties of the connnection.”
HUH?
I have windows 98 and I am THE cyberspud.
Be kind…

BTW: for weeks I can be online about 30 minutes then it times out on every page; I disconnect and re-connect. I Do have dialup; no DSL where I am in the booth in the back in the alley behind the dumpster.
I was hoping for more replies; although, I had already done all that was suggested…
clearly my husband will have to get involved and I hate it when that happens.
