I made a New compressed file on the desktop. Then I dragged the file I wanted to send email which had about 30 jpeg photos in it. The original file was 16 MB, the new compressed one is 15 MB. Is that the most compression I can get. With dialup it takes way too long to send. Would it be better to send several files, uncompressed, attached to however many emails it takes rathr than trying to send them all at once as a zipped file. Thanks
I have a really good digital camera so I’ve taken a bunch of high resolution pictures that are six megabytes each. I want to drastically reduce the resolution so they’re less than a hundred kilobytes each. That way I can email them to people who still have dialup internet accss. I don’t want to manually do each picture at a time. I want to batch convert a whole bunch of files without babysitting the program. I have a fast computer and plenty of hard drive space so resources are no problem for me. It would be nice if it was freeware or shareware. Please tell me what software you like and post to link to where I can read about it. A download link (legal of course) would be nice too.
