How to share dialup connection via Linksys WAG54GX2 router?

One PC has internal dialup modem and wifi card. Laptop has wifi adapter. Also available is a Linksys WAG54GX2 wifi router. Pls provide step by step guide how to setup the laptop, pc & router so that laptop can share PC’s dialup connection. Both have WinXP SP2 OS. Thank you very much!!
In response to your answers…

1) I need the router because the distance between the two computers is too far for the wifi cards to work.

2) Speed is no problem. I have made it work in the past using peer to peer connection. Now I just need to extend the range by using the router.

Plzzzz Help!! ^_^
Specific questions:-

(1) should i use DHCP feature of router or should i use fixed IP for every PC?

(2) What about NAT settings in router?

(3) ICS setting in host PC should be for the external or internal network?

I have tried so many combinations but it does not seem to work, but have read in forums that theoretically, it can work. So, a more detailed step by step guide would be much appreciated.

Thanks

my dell latitude 610 laptop will not let me install any wireless networks. Why?

I have tried installing both linksys and also Dynex notebook cards following the instructions completely, but I can’t get either to install. I have a wireless router (linksys). After all my attempted tries at installation, I keep getting a message that I am not connected to the device. I got the laptop at a yard sale, and it originally came with a smartkey but the seller did not know the password anymore. So in order to use the computer at all I had to install a brand new xp program, to bypass not having the code for the original smartkey. Is this why I may be having problems with connecting? The previous owner had no trouble connecting to the internet, but I cannot because it won’t recognize any modem. Any ideas how I can get around this. I travel for months at a time and need to have some kind of connection to a modem, either for WIFI or for phone dialup. I am at wits end. Any thoughts?
