There are no drivers for that modem. Is there any way to work with my ethernet?(i.e if i connect my RJ11(phone jack) to my Laptops ethernet) will this work or not. If yes tell me how to do

ATT says there is no high speed service available in my location in AR. But I dont want to spend beyond my budget to get cable net. I’m thinking about dial-up service from ATT yahoo. I am a basic user – browsing websites, emails, online banking, sometimes music downloads. How about the dialup speed for my requirement? Need comments from this yahoo friendly community. Thanks.
Thaks for your answers.
My location is Fayetteville.

I have an idea for my family (not just the family in my household either). What I would do is set up a server with an account for everyone in one location connected to the internet. From there what would the other people do to log-on with the user account that was set up for them? They might log on 20 miles or so away too, so its not just in my house, but anywhere in the world. Some people have dialup, some have DSL. Some have XP Pro and Home.
