Can I use my DSL somewhere else like i could my dialup?
in other words i travel out of state and my relatives do not have internet so i hook up my computer and change the phone numbers so they are local and were good to go but can i do the same with DSL or Broadband. There are no numbers to change so how do i know if its local so as to be sure no long distance will be charged with DSL, and is it possible to hook up my DSL modem and such on another number when DSL seems to be based on my home phone..
Can anyone plz tell me if I will get charged for a phone call when making video call on Windows live messenger
I made a video call to my niece yesterday and it was the first time I had used this function. Its way cool but I dont know if its going to affect my phone bill or not and I’m not game to use it too often in case it will be charged to my account.I’m on dialup and when the video call is made it rings just like a real phone call. I did check my phone account online and it didn’t show up but perhaps it hasn’t registered yet. Like I said it is way cool and if I wont get charged for it I will be using it much more as it sure beats typing and reading as well as paying for calls which are mostly long distance for me lol.

is netscape dialup service is anygood, any hidden charges?
does it redial to a different connection and charge a long distance on the phone line?
Is “High speed” internet really that must faster than standard dialup?
I want my mom to switch to Roadrunner, and she called our phone company and was given a quote that can get a better offer on phone and long distance, as well as get Earthlink “High speed Internet.”
I was just wondering if it was that much faster????
What I want to know is, why do they advertise it as quote “high speed,” end quote, when it really that much better?
What makes it better than dialup?
Yes, both my computer have a modem. There is a couple different ones in my area. I wouldn’t be gettingit, my mom and dad would. I would never ever get SBC, because they suck just like AOL does
