okay, I need some help with internet service. I just bought a laptop and have dial up service. It’s WAY too slow. It won’t bring up YouTube or Myspace… anything fun. The only cable company around here is one I do not wish to use. Is there any other way to get high speed internet service another way? I’m new to all of this stuff. Any idea’s will be helpful!!! Thanks.

for the last 4 days i have tried to talk to my BF but she ignores my ems on myspace.ive sent maybe 8+ ems to her but i get no reply.
i think its because i got an new pc (wvista) and can’t use yahoo mess. or yahoo web to talk to her.ive dialup and neither will load.ANYWAY my old pc keeps shutting off when i use it.when i tried to explain that my new pc was having problems with YIM and YWEB she sent me an em saying use the old 1.which i can’t.now she won’t talk to me at all.i offered to talk on CHATZY but got no reply so i guess thats an NO.now im pissed off.
BTW…when we talked regularly I always got up at 1am to talk to her.she could only talk after 12pm.i go to work at 5am.so i usually only got 2-3hrs of sleep an night.
the thing is i WANT to talk to her but because of pc problems i can’t the usual way and she can’t understand that.should i just say FINE and stop talking to her or what?
p.s.we live in diff. states so LD calling is an problem with her mother.
I put it on my page before it got done-since I have dialup and it got to be bedtime. Now, when I try to play it, no matter what I do, it only goes to where I quit downloading and then stops. I tried to get it off to start over again, but can’t even get it to remove from my page. I want the WHOLE song, not just part of it. 
ok. I have a problem with Myspace. I forgot my password. i know, i know. click “retrive password”. but its not that simple. The email i used for my myspace account wont allow me to login to it. I switched from Compuserve-DialUp to Internet Explorer(Highspeed). i remember my screen name & password for the email on Compuserve but it wont let me login. therefor, i cannot get my myspace password, but when i tried to sign up with the email, it said it was already taken. {and you know the people that you email to get help on myspace never reply} does anyone know what i can do(BESIDES make a new myspace)?

Got DSL 1/18/07, now I can’t get MySpace to come up. I had no problems getting it to come up with dialup. It was slow but it at least worked, now it doesn’t.
I just type in www.myspace.com to access it, same as I did with dialup, the progress bar at the bottom of the screen goes about 1/3 of the way and then freezes. I’ve waited it out and all that comes up is a screen that reads “Internet Explorer cannot open webpage”. I refresh the page and the same thing happens. There is nothing wrong with my connection or speed (I’ve checked). I even used the link provided by Miss D and the same thing happens as typing it in. I’m going to try to figure out how to check my firewall settings now.
Ok, I switched my firewall off and then tried to go onto MySpace…didn’t work, either. MySpace isn’t the only site I can’t access…..Tagged, Yahoo Launchcast, and some other sites are also ones I’ve attempted to access without results. I’ve called my DSL provider and they’ve had me check my speed to and from servers, it’s all good. They blamed it on the large amount of traffic to those sites, I told them that it was VERY coincidental that the traffic has increased at the exact time that I got DSL. If it were a traffic problem, I should have been able to access them at SOME time or the other during the last 5 days! I’m getting a BIT aggravated! I’m about to tell my provider that they can eat their DSL I don’t care if it IS faster! lol
