What is the deal with my internet?

I keep losing connection about every three minutes. and then it will reconnect right after which takes about a minute or two. what could be the deal. I have charter high speed internet. I have no virus’ I have performed all sorts of maintenance…and it seems a little better. last night I couldnt get a connection at all. the maintenance may not have done a thing but I was willing to try everything. any suggestions. I did call my ISP and there are no problems in my area. just wanted some help troubleshooting before I scheduled someone to come out
I am not wireless. and I have unplugged my modem, that is one of the ways I can get it to work 3 mins at a time. I guess I will have to get charter out here, which means taking an ENTIRE day off work, which I was hoping to avoid. they will probably tell me to get a new modem and charge me 25 bucks just to tell me that.

My modem won’t detect a dial tone. Have tried about everything. Any ideas?

Our transformer was struck by lightning the other night and blew out the electricity on the whole block. Neither computer would connect at first, but my fiance got his going, but mine is still down. I’ve tried reinstalling the modem and dialup networking. I’ve redone my connection. I’ve tried a new cable, a different phone jack, a different line, and even a different modem, which when I turned it on after putting the new modem in, a big white box came up saying I must reinstall windows, which I did. Still no dial tone.

my internt provider disconnects my dialup connection after every one hour,i think….Is there any software?

Hi, anyone familiar with dialup connections, I can’t get online as of last night?

when I double click on the People PC icon, this little window pops up saying, “GetBartPathfailed” and won’t let me go further. The small icon on the lower tool bar also disappeared. Do I need to reinstall the PeoplePC program or is there a way to accss the net without doing so and restore the toolbar icon. Thank You.
I am currently using the other computer in the house.

I came home after a 5 day trip, and it’s apparent he was viewing porn and pleasured himself.. (I know this cause I called the house and it was ringing and ringing all night which I was on the road).. Yeah I have dialup! Problem is,, he couldn’t perform.. wtf? I’m irked! How do I handle this?
alright hogg, I fixed my typo.. sheesh,, lol.
Some folks are NUTZ, yeah masterbation is normal and yeah I’m glad he didnt’ spend time with another person. But sheesh,, if he can’t get it up,, due to excessive porn watching, it’s an issue!.. lol.. amazing! Pastimes are great, and entertaining, but are only a substitution until the “real” thing is there. OKay, more crazy comments ensuing!
