What is best text based Linux mail reader and how do you connect set it up to pop from MS Exchange?

I want to pop messages from Exchange onto my workstation but leave the messages on the Exchange server. I want to be able to read my mail in low bandwidth situations as when up to a cabin over dialup – hence I want a text based mail reader (line pine or elm) rather than a gui mail reader. I’m running Fedora Core 4.
