computer problem please help?

Whenever I try to download the internet my computer just hangs up. I even tried downloading from different internet but the problem is still there. Sometimes the downloading is just fine. Yesterday I downloaded lots of modem from Google.com Even now its working fine but sometimes it just hangs up. And I see blue screen and computer restarts. I tried using internet cd and that worked but I dont have cd with me now.

Different people tell me different things. One man said I need to upgrade my screen to Windows X. My friend said that you get lots of virus in dialup internets. I pried a small crack in my computer and I think I saw something move in the machinery making a hum sound. So I think there is a virus. Where can I buy anti virus treatment.

Is it best to start over in Guild wars?

I have the first Guild wars(note I have dialup). I did a couple of quest and have chosen my second profession. i then talked to the guy and went on the mission to kill the warlord. I killed him and then saw Ascalon get blown all to hell. Well im at the loading screen and now its old Ascalon(Different pic on loading screen.). My net got disconnected and now its Ascalon again(Same different pic). I guess what im asking is…are all my quest opporunities gone? Are there still merchants and stuff there? Will Ascalon ever look the same as it did before it got blown all to hell? Or do i need to create a diff character, Delete my old one and do the whole thing over until i have nothing else to do then leave?

What should i do?

A clicking noise followed by a Blue Screen of Death occurs in my uncles computer?

After using his computer for an hour or so (which is more random than at regular times), he encounters a clicking noise from inside his computer. This clicking noise is usually but not always followed by the Blue Screen of Death. Then he usually has to reboot and the problem goes away for a little while before it returns.

What we did: We opened the case and tried to find out where the clicking noises came from. They did not come from the fans since we saw them both operating normally. They seemed to be coming from the front of the computer where the disk reader and the CD Rom drive was, but we weren’t sure. The clicking noise was usually followed by the screen freezing up, and then the BSOD. The BSOD message each time may have been different, but I’m not positive. We attempted to update his Windows and were at 24%, but the BSOD interrupted the update process (remember he has dialup so it was pretty slow)
I installed Adaware while we were waiting for the clicking noise, and while it was scanning, it had found 187 critical objects, not that this has anything to do with the noise, but I just thought it was interesting. Once he gets this problem resolved, I’ll install all the necessary software to prevent adware and spyware from infecting his computer, but for now I just want to get this BSOD problem resolved.

What I’ll continue to do: Surf the internet for similar windows crashes and BSOD messages. I might visit his computer again after I’ve gained more knowledge of BSOD messages and possible resolutions.

If anyone could help diagnose what it could be or recommend some actions or a website, it would be greatly appreciated. I don’t want him to spend anymore money than he already has.

Does anyone know how to fix a cracked PSP screen?

I heard even if an LCD screen is cracked, you can repair it. How can I do this? No, buying a new PSP is not an option. I’m not made of money, and it seems everybody is, it’s like I’m on dialup and everyone’s got high speed. Anyway, is it possible?

Open-source software to enable Yahoo!/Gmail access on PDA?

I can use my mobile phone for email, of course, but it’s a limited screen, and I *don’t* want a “smart” phone, I think a phone should be a phone and a PDA should be a PDA (separate items!) So I have an HP 2215 (larger screen than phone). I use it, on the road, dialup. But when I try to get to Yahoo! email (or also gmail email) I get “page not found” (I guess the 2215 can’t handle the gui…). The 2215 can handle all sorts of other websites. Does anyone know of any open-source or other free software (or, just simply, a secret url) I can use to get to my emails while on the road, with my HP 2215?
