I use 56Kbps internal modem for internet. Previously my dialup connection speed used to be 44000 or 46000bps. But now it is low and is varying all the time. now it is 21200 or 24000 or 32000 or 33333 or 36000bps only. What could be the problem? Is it with server or telephone line or my modem got weak or any other problem? Can anyone help me in this regard. Thank you.

i do have dialup
Our telephone system is digital (Nitzuka) and we have no direct outside line. So, an ordinary modem cannot connect. Other workstatins elsewhere in the building do have access to a direct telephone line.
