My sister visits my parents every couple months and wants Internet access at the house, but it has to be high-speed (at least basic DSL). Is there a really cheap decent quality DSL ISP, or an as-needed DSL-type account? (sort of like dial-up, so you get say twenty hours of DSL for ten bucks a month?) I thought NetZero had the answer with their 12.95/month 768k/DSL, but the price goes up to 22.95 after three months. Thanks

I had Verizon DSL for 11 months and very UNHAPPY with it. My browser would not connect to the internet at least twice to 4 times a day, I would have to turn the Verizon provided wireless router off and turn it back on for it to work. I asked Verizon for a different wireless router and the same thing still happens. So now it is a rountine for me to turn the wireless router off and back on few times a day. I called Verizon technician and they told me it is normal. Is this Normal?? ? Is this what people with DSL have to go through every day or just Verizon DSL service ?
My 1 year contract is up with them next month so I think I’m going to swith to Time Warner high speed internet. I will probably go with the cheapest package which is Road Runner Standard 4M x 512K* or 6M x 384K* which I dont even know which one to pick or if it is fast compare to Verizon 765k package I have. I’m just so tired of running down stairs to turn the wireless router off/on. Thanks for any advice !
My samsung A900 accidentaly got into my washer and dryer. It still turns on but the button to start the camera doesnt work and when i go to dial a # the internet pops up or the MP3 player or it will call a # in my address book. It still has service but it is very weak. One minute the speaker will work and another minute it will go dead. I cant use it in the condition it is in now and to buy another 1 will be a lot of money so im hoping someone knows how to get it fixed.

Can I figure out how much time sb spents on a site or sth like that? The thing is: I don’t mind, but I hate it that he might be lying to me and I just have to make sure I’m not crazy. I have studied the history on his computer and I’m just very upset because on one day all he had accessed were porns. That day we had only dial-up internet, so I don’t think the computer accessed the site by itself, like he states (the cable is not always plugged in). I’m really upset, but maybe I’m not right. PLS help me with real answers and data.
Maybe U didn’t get it right: I enjoy watching porns myself. The point is that he lies to me, and this is why I’m so mad. I don’t hold him on a leash I just stumbled on the sites.

the computer connects to a speed of 52 kbps( wriiten in system tray ) ,then why when i download some thing the speed is onlyyyyyyyyy 4 or 5 kbps…………………???
