Using Win XP Home, What free software is best to use when faxing a MS Word doc from my computer without having to use my modem? If I use the built-in MS fax software, it will not send the fax unless I disconnect from the internet and allow it to dialup just to send the fax. Help please!

When PC is connecting to the internet with dialup the moment it does the authentication the cmoputer restarts. Do you think it is a hardware issue or windows issue. do you think if I format the Pc and reinstall Win2000 that will solve the problem.

i meant for windows server 2003
i used dap to resume but it corrupted the file by incresing the size of 329.33 to 333 mb can u belive it dap sucks
my current home network is as follows:
cable modem
^wireless router
^hardline to desktop with xp & wireless to laptop with xp
i have another desktop that has 98 (first edition) and it only has a dialup modem.
Is there a way i can network my desktop with my laptop through their dialup modems in order to share the laptop’s wireless connection and access the internet?
i think that is as clear as i can explain my question…
im using WIN ME,have dsl.when i had dialup,an icon appeared on my taskbar that when connected would allow me to know my connection speed.how can i do this with dialup?
