Does D-link DI-524 work with verizon dsl?

I bought the di-524. I currently have netzero hispeed 3g (dialup). I will switch to Verizon DSL, the 14.99 one, in November 2006. I was wondering if the di-524 would work with DSL and how would I have to do it. I own a laptop and a desktop.

system requirements for yahoo messenger?

We are trying to make messenger8 work with winXP/broadband at one end and a win98 pentiumP2/Dialup 56kmodem at the other.we are running internet explorer 6. All seems to be installed but messages are not recieved at the low tech end – I can see that a message is being typed to me but I never get it.
Anyone else out there got a similar lowtech system working with messenger or are we just trying to do too much with old systems.
Any suggestions for tweaks? – thanks

Is it possible to change out a dialup modem on a laptop?

the phone jack on my laptops modem is looking pretty loose. i would like to know if this is something I can change myself. I do my own work on my desktop, but have never attempted anything on my laptop, other than memory. Any suggestions or sites where I can actually buy parts for a laptop.

Is there anyway to speed up a DSL internet connection? And why would DSL run almost as slow as dialup?

My DSL connection seems to run about 1.5 to 2 times as fast as my friends dialup connection. Now I know it’s that my connection is slow and not that his connection is fast. At home my cable internet runs about 20 times faster that my DSL here at work. Anyone know of a way I can increase my connection speed? I mean it takes me about 25 minutes to download 6 MB files. My home connection takes about 15 seconds!
